To improve the menstrual hygiene and health of adolescent girls from poor social economic backgrounds within different Counties in Kenya. Over 5,000 girls have benefited from the program since its inception in 2019.

COVID 19 MITIGATION FOR THE AT-RISK AND VULNERABLE POPULATION
Since the outbreak of Corona Virus, NCBOC has been distributing food stuffs, masks, sanitizers, hand wash liquid soaps to the most vulnerable people within poor communities’ i.e the elderly, young women and girls, people living with disabilities and people living with HIV and Aids.

YOUTH AND WOMEN CIVIC EDUCATION
NCBOC often conducts civic education to youth and young women especially during approach to general elections.

SISI WAKENYA.
The program focuses on inter-community dialogue among communities. Through peace initiative, the organization organizes an exchange program between community-based organizations working with the National Council of Community Based organization.
The project is currently being implemented kin the North Rift, Central and Homabay County. The program has successful enhance inter community dialogues between communities through elders dialogues meeting with each community.

JIINUIE, JIJENGE, JIUNGE INITIATIVE
The project provides seed funding for startup organizations within the viable business ideas through the program the organization currently provides seed funding for 50 startup organization across Kenya with entrepreneur skills.

Mainstreaming Gender
The organization trains members of the council of embracing gender equality among members of the group. Members are trained on gender equality and support the affirmative action clause as per the constitution of Kenya hence it’s a requirement organization being members of the council must embrace gender equality.
Human Rights and Governance
The National Council of Community Based organization strives for the achievement of equality, social and economic justice, community solidarity and freedom, good governance, respect for rule of law, hard work and selflessness, transparency and accountability. Through the process the organization implements programs on creating awareness on social, economic and political rights.
CBOs Standardization
The organization provides technical support for community-based organizations to be formally registered and enhances their administrative, social, and economic capacity to become the key drivers of positive change at the grassroots level and to positively influence the economic, social, and legal development of the local community.
